Ford officially stated on Saturday that the 2024 Ranger and Ranger Raptor pickup trucks would be unveiled on May 10 for the American market. It will also be the first time the high-performance Ranger Raptor has ever been offered in any capacity on American soil. The new variant was launched everywhere except here for the 2023 model year.

The majority of the information about Ford’s new midsize truck is already known to us because of the delayed U.S. market launch. The only engine we anticipate seeing in the base vehicle here is the current 2.3-liter gasoline turbo-four, despite the fact that two diesels are available abroad.

It goes without saying that the Raptor is a very different animal, and we anticipate that its twin-turbo V6 will have enough power to at least compete with Hennessey’s 360-horsepower Ranger VelociRaptor, if not completely outclass it. It only generates 284 horsepower and 362 pound-feet of torque when driven abroad.

To see how implausible 418 horsepower is for the American market, especially now that the F-150 Raptor gets a V8 upgrade, one simply needs to take a quick look at the Bronco Raptor.

We won’t have to wait long to learn more. The full schedule will be posted on Wednesday.
